My new hero.

Some journalist took the PGA Tour to court because he wanted their file on a certain player, and he claimed freedom of information, or something like that. The court decided in their wisdom that this was in the public interest and so ordered the PGA to release the said file.

Anyway, John Daly's disciplinary file at PGA Tour HQ is 496 pages long and includes $110,000 worth of fines for Conduct Unbecoming of a Professional. Amongst the misdemeanours;

  • Hitting up all day on an un-named but apparently notoriously slow player
  • Bashing up the same player in the dressing room, when the slow golfer complained
  • Whilst doing a golfing clinic for MasterCard and their clients at a PGA Tournament, changed direction from down the driving range, to hitting a 2 iron barely 2 feet over the heads of the people on the VISA marquee, much to the amusement of Mastercard, but not apparently to the PGA Commissioner
So move over Tiger & The Shark, for the Long Reef Fantasy Golfer has a new role model.
